There is a definite relationship with skin cancer or a rather more serious form called malicious cancer to over the top sun tanning, and not using protective lotions that block harmful UV light rays from damaging your skin.  This can end up in cancer of the skin especially if excessive amounts of sun tanning occurs thru your life.  How does your body tan?  This is the skins natural way of safeguarding itself.  Before we continue, you should know that there are 2 main types of skin cancers : fundamental cell cancer and squamous cell cancer.
Skin cancer Symptoms:
Serious cases of evil melanoma don’t occur after 1 or 2 sessions of sun tanning.  This skin disease happens as exposed areas of your skin are continually subject to the harmful aftermath of UV light rays.  It make take fifteen to twenty-three years before you begin to experience the damaging aftermath of the sun or start showing signs and signs of cancers.

When you see photos, you may notice different photographs each depicting what this kind of cancer looks like.  The most obvious might be the changes in the coloration of the skin.  Often symptoms of skin cancer may surface by the appearance of a sore, a lump under the skin, or a scaly coarse skin surface.

This form of cancer is commoner in folks with light coloured skin.  These are folks who have sometimes spent more time sun tanning.  Cancer is a more sever case of skin disease where malignant cells invade the normal cells that protect the skin called melanocytes.

because the skin is formed of 2 layers, the skin which has melanin that causes the skin to have color ( the outer surface ) and dermis the ( inner layer ), it usually starts on the outer surface inspiring the capability of the skin to offer protection to the body i.e, neck, arm, legs, back.

This kind of cancer in a more complicated stage called evil cancer, and when diagnosed early, you have a greater chance of survival and success.  Malignant cancers symptoms may show as changes in a mole size, shape, or color ; bleeding moles, or moles that itch, or feel sensitive to touch.  Most doctors will examine the mole by cutting a piece of it out.  This procedure permits the physician to look at the suspected tissue for carcenogenic cells.

typical Treatment May Include :

The most typical treatment is a surgical process in which the doctor has to remove the carcinoma.  However, if it’s become mastastic, widening to other parts of the body, such as the lymph nodes, your health practitioner may endorse a combination of treatments to include the use of chemo, immunotherapy, and radiation treatment.  Once the affect area of the skin has been removed, the patient may undergo a skin draft for medical and cosmetic purposes.

You can overcome skin cancer and noxious cancers if the condition is noted early.  Surgical treatment is the best plan of action, but in circumstances where carcenogenic cells have spread, the likelihood of survival has lessened.

Citizens For a Public Option, Lets get this DONE

US Senator Barack Obama campaigning in New Ham...

If you could take some time out of your busy day and please help support Citizens For a Public Option. Sign the online petition and lets get this DONE.  If you feel like we don’t need to change the health care system in this country please let me know why.  I have had first hand experience of the downfalls in our current system being a person born with a disability who is wheelchair bound.  Lucky for me there is medicaid or I would most likly not lived to write this post.

So here is my problem, I do get free health care, and for the most part any treatment available.  The catch is I must live in poverty.  If I make too much money(more than 11,000 per year) I loose medicaid and have to go get a private option.  Well that does not sound too bad does it?  Well it would not be bad if they covered pre-existing conditions, you know like the spina bifida I was born with.

So don’t tell me our health care system is fine.  It’s not, it’s broken.  When I was a kid the sky was the limit for the care I received.  They did a little thing called preventive care, screening me for all kinds of things, and making sure I was eating right and working with a physical therapist.  This is all gone now.  Now I’m sold to about 30 different doctors to check me for 30 different things.  I’m now a product to market, a bank account that these hospitals use to milk money from medicaid.  So health care reform is not all about the insurance companies, but also about the medical establishments.  They are just as guilty.

So please read Citizens For a Public Option. Sign it and lets begin to fix this system once and for all.

Bald Heads, I love Mine!

Over the ages, balding has been considered a disease.  Lately, it has additionally been followed as a fashion.  However, greater numbers of folk still feel that a head covered by hair is always more attractive than a bald one.

Every month, hair grows by about 1 inch.  Normally, around 85% of the hair on your head is always in the growing phase at any point, and 15% is not.  Five years is the maximum period of time for which hair routinely lives.  Considering these statistics, it is difficult to comprehend the factors behind hair loss, which might be more apparent in a few of us.

The follicle is a hole in the skin where the hair sits.  In cases of hair loss this follicle shrinks over time, thus causing shorter and thinner hair.  The final result may be a very tiny follicle with no hair in it.  Usually the hair grows back, except for folk who are already balding, the follicle is not able to cultivate a new hair.

Peladic is an illness that will lead to hair loss.  Some folk are repelled at the sight of a bald head, and fear going bald themselves.  This fear is named peladophobia.

In the dating arena, some women feel extremely strongly against men with bald heads, and demand that dating a bald guy is almost almost impossible.  However, many women don’t mind dating someone with an intentionally shaved head.  It’s almost like dating on the premise of your capacity to grow more hair on your head.

Three ways to Live Happy And Healthy With Irritable Bowel Syndrome, or IBS

Close coupled cistern type flushing toilet.
Image via Wikipedia

Let me ask you something. What do Tyra Banks, Camille Grammer and Cybil Sheppard all have in common? They all suffer from irritable bowel syndrome – along with about 20% of the rest of the population, according to recent studies.

I’m the IBS Diva. And I say having irritable bowel syndrome doesn’t have to be a death sentence. There are ways not only to cope but to thrive and live a happy, healthy life. Yes, I know, it can be a bit embarrassing at times – always searching for the nearest bathroom whenever you go out, getting up in the middle of movies and only eating certain foods.

The IBS Diva doesn’t let that get in the way of her good time, though. And you shouldn’t let get in the way of yours, either.

Here are the IBS Diva’s three simple pieces of advice for coping with irritable bowel syndrome.

1. You’re still fabulous, honey. Act like it. Change your mindset about this functional disorder. You’re not an outcast. You’re a tough, no-nonsense leader. Believe it.

2. Don’t stress – just rest. Just like the IBS Diva, you need your beauty sleep. Make sure you get at least eight hours per night. Let your body rejuvenate and heal during the night. Then you can wake up fabulous like the IBS Diva.

3. Keep searching. Even the IBS Diva searches for solutions for irritable bowel syndrome. Let’s face it. Having this disorder is no walk in the park. But there are ways to cope and live a happy, healthy life. Search for them while you’re on your journey to self acceptance. It can only help.

Honey, you have to look at irritable bowel syndrome as a challenge that you must overcome, not as a death sentence. With the proper mind set and a willingness to try new and effective dietary changes and medical solutions, you can live a healthy and happy life with IBS.
