Things You Should Know About Calories In Beer

The habit of consuming beer on a regular basis in the belief that it is good for health has been in practice for the past many centuries. This drinking habit has not taken into account, the calories in beer. The high-tech mega organizations of present days, in trying to promote human relations, organize social gatherings and outings for relaxation, where drinking a glass of beer has become a fashion.

Beer is the most common of all alcohol drinks and believing that the calories in beer do not harm the body, it is freely consumed. The calories in beer is the lowest of all alcohol drinks, with wine coming next with all other liquor showing higher content of calories. A mug (12 ounces) of beer contains 150 calories. A glass (8 ounces) of wine contains 120 calories and a shot (3 ounces) of liquor contains 100 calories. The amount of alcohol content in all the three quantities is the same.

People do not realize that the drinking of alcohol as a fashion today destroys their health in later days. Since they assume that beer contains low calories they consume beer beyond normal limits. It could be seen that at these social gatherings and weekend parties, some take one mug of beer and some others 3 to 4 mugs, which means that 450 to 600 calories are consumed.

It has been seen that over a certain period of time, the calories in beer add to the pot belly, making it more visible, bringing more embarrassment, due to the change in bodily appearance. A person, who drinks a glass of beer after a meal every day, consumes nearly 1050 calories per week. This adds 7 kg in a year to his weight increasing his girth and more flab to his belly.

Women are putting themselves in danger of becoming addicted to alcohol drinking habits. Their drinking patterns vary with their consuming 2 to 12 beers on an average. A woman normally consuming 2 to 3 beers per day consumes more than 12 beers at weekends, which is a bad sign.

Beer consumed on a regular basis, brings a marked change to the stomach portion revealing a pot belly after some months. Though the calories in beer are termed to be empty calories, the alcohol gets burned quickly and the fat and carbohydrates get accumulated mostly in the stomach area.

When beer is consumed more than it should be, the alcohol causes dullness in your senses increasing your appetite and you crave to eat more of the chips and the margaritas. You fail to even remember what you had eaten with your friends while enjoying the drinking spree.

While every person wants to enjoy cocktails with friends at an outing, or a glass of wine after dinner, or a glass of beer with snacks to munch watching a game of football, which is all good enjoyment with relaxation, one should never forget that the calories in beer and the alcohol will be adding to your weight. It is so with other alcoholic drinks. A person could have a glass of fruit juice or some other healthy beverage that will not harm your health.

Surely, enjoyment and relaxation can be derived from the calories in beer, but when consumed over the limit it can cause harm to your body.

A diet that has been around for quite some time and has been terribly successful for a big number of people is the Atkins Diet.  This a diet that is based on low carbs.  Many of us feel this diet is a good way to lose weight fast without starving yourself.

First, you have to be ready to change your eating habits.  All of those carbs you have been eating for years must be limited or cut out entirely.  Remember this is a low carb diet and it can help you to lose weight and feel great.  Many of us have revealed that this plan has helped them to lose there additional pounds and become a healthier plan.

Next, you want to form a diet for yourself that is predicated on meats and cheeses.  At first this could appear like it has too much fat, but as soon as the pounds start to fall of you,you will have a better understanding of the way the diet works.

Lastly, You must find what is the correct quantity of carbohydrates for you to eat in twenty four hours and then stick with that plan.  Stick with that plan for some weeks to see how your body burns those carbs.

Remember that trying this diet plan can help you to become fit and reach your perfect weight in a short period of time.  Ensure that you allow a good amount of time before you see results.  With any diet your body will take a little time to get adjusted to it.

It’s more and more common to see bodybuilders who are still in their teens. Getting into shape and building muscle is a good thing no matter how young or old you are ” and there’s no better time than your teens to take up weight training as long as you do it right. Teens are still developing, so they have different needs than adult body builders, particularly when it comes to nutrition. Just like adults, teenagers need adequate rest, a proper diet and careful training to prevent injury.

Teenagers have stores of energy that the rest of us marvel at, and these energy stores actually cause trouble in a body building routine. Teens can go for hours and never seem to tire, because of this many will work out for hours on end focusing on one set of muscles.

The thought is that more is better; however, in weight training nothing is further from the truth. A rounded workout in which all muscle groups are worked equally is better. Once a muscle has reached a certain point there is no need to strain it further, in fact you can actually reverse your progress or worse yet cause injury.

Start off with lighter weights and advance as your body becomes accustomed to lifting. Don’t try to show off by going immediately for the heaviest weight you can find. Start small and work your way up as you go.

To many times nutrition is neglected in favor of massive amounts of supplements. While supplements can be helpful in moderation eating the right quantities of protein and fiber are more important. You see when you are training you are actually tearing the muscles and in order to heal properly and build they need proper nutrition.

Proper hydration is also neglected by many young body builders. The human body is about 70% water and relies on adequate hydration to function properly ” and this definitely includes muscle tissue!

The recommendation of eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day is merely a starting point, when you are training you should increase your water intake considerably. Your joints and vital organs will thank you, plus you will increase the success of your work out.

While we’re on the subject of things neglected by teenage bodybuilders, let’s talk about sleep. It’s while you sleep that testosterone and the important growth hormone IGF-1 is released. It’s also when your body repairs itself and rejuvenates for another day ” make sure to get an adequate amount of sleep every night.

It is not enough to hit the gym hard every day to build muscles. You need a balanced approach for steady growth. This can hard to do for a generation who is used to getting what they want right now, but for long term success and to prevent injury this is the only way.

You can start weight training now and if you are into major physical sports like football it is imperative that you have a strong healthy body. Simply follow the tips above and you can have a safe productive work out.

How To Spot Genuine Hoodia Diet Pills

Due to the considerable hype generated by the weight loss and diet pill industry about hoodia weight loss pills, it can sometimes be quite difficult to judge the quality of a product by looking at their high-gloss websites. One online commentator claims that between 60%-80% of all hoodia weight loss products are not what they claim, ranging from not entirely pure through to not even remotely close. There are six checks to prove that a company is selling pure Hoodia Gordonii appetite suppressant, and they should display all six certificates on their website. The first three are issued by authorities in South Africa and in your country authorising the purchase and shipping of the extract of an endangered species. The other three are results from independent scientific testing.

Any company that imports Hoodia Gordonii to the USA from South Africa must have – and should display – three official government certificates.

The first, known as the CITES certificate, is an authorisation to deal in an endangered species (such as Hoodia Gordonii). Do not deal with any company that does not display their CITES certificate prominently on their website.

The second certificate is a “Phytosanitary” permit issued by the government of South Africa permitting the dealer to remove the product from South Africa.

The third certificate is issued by the US Dept of Agriculture (and simply known as the USDA certificate) to permit the dealer to import the product into the USA. If the manufacturer claims to directly import Hoodia Gordonii from South Africa then they should be displaying this certificate on their website.

The Need For Independent Testing

With the rapidly increasing numbers of online hoodia sellers, most reputable manufacturers regularly submit their products to a well known independent testing facility which has the authority to certify genuine hoodia products. While there are four recognised labs that can do the testing, most companies seem to present certificates from Alkemist Labs in California.

There are three different tests to ensure the sample is what it claims to be, and unless you are a chemist yourself you don’t need to know much about them. They are known as HPTLC, HPLC and MM-DPD, with HPTLC being the most important. At the very least you should be able to see an HPTLC certificate, if not all three.

If the company does not display results certificates from an independent testing facility, do not buy from them. There are far too many unreliable dealers out there to take a risk on one that doesn’t display their testing certificates!

Finally, as a matter of good customer service you should expect that the company offers a toll free information line that will also handle orders (if you prefer the phone to buying online) and a clear refund policy if you’re not happy with the product.
